Laser treatment for spider veins
|
The most popular procedure for spider vein treatment in the legs, is sclerotherapy .Many women have these unsightly veins and the good news is that they can be very effectively treated using this technique. It is a fairly simple procedure which involves injecting the spider veins with a sclerosing solution, this in turn causes the spider veins to collapse and disappear from view. If your spider veins are not that bad and numerous you may only need one series of injections. However it usually takes more than one visit to inject all the visible spider veins. Now you may not feel that comfortable when i mention the word injection! but even though there may be many injections the needle used is very fine so you won't feel much pain at all. It is estimated that as many as 50-80% of the injected veins will be eliminated with each injection session. As a rule, spider veins respond to treatment in 3 to 6 weeks. Sclerotherapy is also used to treat varicose veins. I had sclerotherapy when i was 19 and it did no good at all, if anything my varicose veins got worse. I have done some researching on this matter and appears that 10% of people who have sclerotherapy for varicose veins do not respond. Whist the debate is on for using sclerotherapy for treating varicose veins, it does work for the removal of spider or thread veins, so if you are serious about getting rid of them, then read up on the benefits and potential problems before you go ahead with treatment. All i can say is that, after researching this procedure it seems pretty safe ( there is no general anaesthetic required), so just try to find a reputable company to do it and you can look forward to great looking legs that you can show off without feeling self conscious again! There are also some alternative methods you can use for spider vein treatment.
Constipation is a possible cause of varicose and spider veins. Try to include fibre into your diet (this helps to prevent straining of your stool) which can increase pressure and aggravate your veins! Blackberries and cherries are good things to eat for bad veins. Eat plenty citrus fruits and whole grains such as garlic, onions and ginger. You can also try eating fish and cut down on red meat if you can. Try to avoid sugar, salt, alcohol, fried food, processed foods, cheese and ice cream. I don't know about you but there is no way i could eliminate all of these foods! My suggestion is eat sensibly and perhaps try cutting down on some of these foods. I think i will try to do this, but the underlying feeling i get with this is that if varicose veins and spider veins are hereditary then there is not much i can do about it. I know i don't have much will power, but i need to try to cut down on the risk factors and so should you! Some people swear by alternative methods and there are many success stories of them working so keep your options open. They can be used as a natural therapy for spider veins. I was a bit unsure of natural remedies, but i have taken and tested some of these herbs and the results have been amazing. There are also numerous natural supplements for spider veins which you can read about on this site, if you are a bit afraid of the idea of injections or surgery, then these supplements can be a viable non surgical treatment for spider veins. They don't cost that much money, and some of them have a money back guarantee, so what have you got to lose?
